We are here to have the "taboo" discussions that lead to probable, tangible solutions. There must be a reset amongst the "Black" community as a whole if we are going to make it at this point. If you do not believe me, just look around you and start asking yourself some logical questions, realizing that society is presenting you with illogical answers (not even solutions). Just foolish answers that we foolishly go along with day after day. It is a struggle for us all in some way, shape, or form, so no shade.
Some people tend to feel the "shade" when cognitive dissonance speaks louder than reason in the room. Meaning, we have the information needed to make sound judgements, yet choose to ignore that very knowledge. So, what must be realized is that we must address some of the issues plaguing our community first and move on to those solutions that we can ALL contribute in offering and being a part of.
We can start with the discussion of "Being On Code". What does that mean to us individually? What does it mean collectively for the "Black" community? Think about other cultures and their "codes of conduct". What is it about those other groups to where they are able to thrive in many ways beyond the "Black" community as a whole, when in reality, the gifts, talents, skills, and very essence of "Blackness" was birthed to be the excellence of this world?
Let's have that discussion in the forum that will lead to some life-changing solutions. Let's GO! Let's Grow!
